APLA is pleased to announce the following new appointments.
Mr Lam Chee Weng appointed as WLA Vice President
Mr Lam Chee Weng, CEO of Singapore Pools, was co-opted as a member of the World Lottery Association (WLA) Executive Committee on 25 March 2026 to take up the role of Vice President for the remaining months leading up to the November Sydney elections.
APLA warmly congratulates Mr Lam on his appointment, and would like to thank him for his services and leadership since he was appointed APLA Chairman on 17 February 2025.
Mr Jason Delamore takes over as APLA Executive Committee Chairman
Mr Jason Delamore, Chief Executive of Lotto New Zealand, takes over as the new APLA Executive Committee Chairman from 20 April 2026.
Welcome to Mr Mitsuru Yasuda, new Executive Committee member
APLA warmly welcomes Mr Mitsuru Yasuda as a new Executive Committee member from 20 April 2026.
Mr Yasuda is the incoming President of the Japan Lottery Association. Prior to this appointment, he had served as Vice-Minister in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications from July 2017 to July 2019, and is currently Chairman of the Institute of Local Finance, Chairman of Jichi Medical School, and Special Advisor to the Cabinet on Electoral System and Political Finance System.
Appreciation to Mr Kazuhisa Yamaguchi
APLA would like to express its appreciation and thanks to Mr Kazuhisa Yamaguchi for his services and contributions as Executive Committee member from 1 June 2021 to 31 March 2026.
