The Asia Pacific Lottery Association (APLA) held this year annual seminar in India on 19 to 22 May 2026 at The Trident Hyderabad. The host lottery was Future Gaming & Hotel Services, with the theme “AI & Tech in Lotteries.”
The Seminar featured presentations from gaming professionals on topics relating to technology and lottery operations, such as: AI Strategy, Integrating AI into Legacy Lottery Systems, Managing Tech and Security in the Print Process, Gaming & Technology. A legal professional from an established law firm presented an Introduction on India’s Gambling Regulatory Framework, and an APLA member, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office shared with participants their journey of achieving Level 3 in responsible gaming certification. There was also a presentation on how a small state in India conducted its lottery operations.
Opening the business program, Mr Thierry Gabarret, Committee member, conveyed his warmest greetings to the 110 participants from 10 countries on behalf of the APLA Chairman, and invited all to take the occasion in Hyderabad to better understand how technology and AI are reshaping our vision, our responsibilities, our opportunities… and the industry.
On the closing night, delegates were treated to a Royal Banquet at the historic Falak Numa Palace in Hyderabad. Diners were hosted to dinner on a 120 feet long banquet table
