Mr Kazuhisa Yamaguchi became the President of the Japan Lottery Association (“JLA”) on 1 June 2021, after he took over from Mr Yokichi Yokoyama who retired at the same date. Mr Yamaguchi was appointed to the APLA Executive Committee on 7 July 2021.
Career background
Prior to Mr Kazuhisa Yamaguchi’s current appointment at JLA, he was President of Tokyo Tokeiba Co Ltd from March 2011 to 2019. His public service career stretches back to May 2007 when he served for 2 years as the Vice Governor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. He subsequently assumed the post of President, Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Social Welfare and Public Health Foundation from August 2009 to March 2011.
His vision
In his work as President of JLA, he hopes to further enhance the brand of Japan’s Lottery among a wider generation of lottery players and develop the market more widely. Sales system reporting is an area of interest he hopes to further explore.
Personal Interests
Mr Yamuguchi is a keen tennis player and likes hiking and fishing.
