APLA would like to announce that Mr Chris Lyman of Lotto New Zealand resigned as a member and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee from 15 September 2023 in line with his departure from Lotto New Zealand. Mr Lyman had held the role of Chief Executive at Lotto New Zealand.
At the last Executive Committee meeting on 23 October 2023, APLA Chairman Sue van der Merwe expressed on behalf of the Committee members her appreciation for Mr Lyman’s contribution to APLA over recent years, both as an Executive Committee member and Vice Chairman. She wished him well in his future endeavours.
The Executive Committee welcomed Mr Lam Chee Weng as the new Vice Chairman.
Mr Lam has been a member of the Executive Committee since 17 October 2019.
He is the Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Pools, a fully owned subsidiary of the Tote Board, which reports to the Ministry of Finance. Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2019 he was Chief Financial Officer at Singapore Pools. He is also a member of United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS). Prior to joining Singapore Pools, Mr Lam was the CFO of wellness company Eu Yan Sang, and has over 25 years of broad ranging experience across various industries and public practices.
