Singapore Pools - Tote Board Family Thanks Chingay Heart Contingent

Over 60 guests attended a "Thank You" reception organised by the Tote Board Family for volunteers of the Tote Board Family Chingay 2009 Float "Wonderland of Dreams" project on 17 February 2009. During the Chingay parades held on 30 & 31 January 2009 at City Hall and on 1 & 7 February 2009 at Ang Mo Kio and Chinatown respectively, Team Singapore Star athletes on the float connected with their fans while a 200-strong Heart Contingent danced and distributed hongbaos to audience. In all, nearly 300 Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, SPHERE student volunteers, Team Singapore Ambassadors & athletes and Tote Board Family staff volunteered for the project.

During the reception, Tote Board Chief Executive and Singapore Pools Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tan Soo Nan presented Certificates of Appreciation to all participants. Volunteers re-lived warm memories of their experiences when a 'Making of "Wonderland of Dreams" ' video was screened, garnering many smiles and laughter. An impromptu performance of the familiar theme song "Reach", by Boy Scouts of Yangzheng Primary School ended the evening on a heartwarming note, after an evening of camaraderie formed over the weeks leading up to the Parade.

The Tote Board Family thanks all organisations and volunteers for supporting "Wonderland of Dreams, the Tote Board Family Float at the Chingay Parade 2009.
